Transportation of Resources
Production of electricity and water is essential and of course efficient and cost effective methods will be the most attractive. However half of the work is actually delivering those resources to where they are needed and at the times they are needed.
Atlantis CSP plants have multiple methods of transferring and storing energy, ensuring resources can be delivered when need in to the local energy grid or local area. However for a truly global energy solution we need to be able to package and transport these resources to all corners of the world.
Gas Production and Transportation
For longer term storage and for more distant transportation converting electricity in to hydrogen is the most efficient method. Firstly for creating a clean gas fuel that can be transformed in to electricity anywhere in the world, then secondly as an easy way to transport water and reconstitute it elsewhere.
Our hydrogen production system will create an endless clean energy source that creates no air pollutants and who’s properties cycle as they do in nature, so we can use them again and again.
Local Supply
Initially Atlantis CSP looks to provide these resources as locally as possible, as this will reduce transport costs and also the need to convert resources from one format to another which does causes a percentage energy loss.
Electricity can be delivered directly in to the local electrical grid, then with a simple heat storage system electricity can be generated late in to the night with less energy loss to the initial heat collected from the sun.
Fresh water production can also be supplied locally and added to national water distribution systems to reduce transport requirements.
